The AB0138 is the quieter, more wearable interpretation: silver dial, applied baton indexes, date at six, and the unmistakable bidirectional slide-rule bezel that built the Navitimer name. The 43mm case sits in the sweet spot for modern wrists. The slide-rule bezel is fully functional, with crisp index alignment on both inner and outer scales. Silver dial reads cleanly in any light, baton indexes give it a dress-watch posture the chronograph references can’t pull off.

The bracelet’s brushed-and-polished weave is one of the best stock options Breitling has produced. Black leather strap with white stitching is the alternative when the brief calls for something softer. Two distinctly different watches for the wrist of one buyer.
