Up for sale is a gorgeous 85% IWC Aquatimer 2000. This would be an excellent addition to your collection. The IWC Aquatimer 2000 is a true diver’s watch resistant up to 2000 meters. Using the famed automatic IWC 30110 calibre movement of 21 jewels, and a 42-hour power reserve, the IWC is a sporty and adventurous looking watch that is prized for its reliability and ease of maintaining. The quick-change bracelet (licensed from Cartier) makes changing the profile of this gorgeous watch an absolute cinch. A luminescent dial and bezel make seeing the watch face in the dark and underwater a breeze – it’s very vivid and clear.
You will know this watch is there at all times. It offers a decent amount of heft but remains comfortable. This thing wraps around you like a warm blanket on a chilly night; if you feel naked leaving the house without a watch, this is totally for you. Even though the stainless steel bracelet is more coveted, I’ve found the rubber bracelet to be far more comfortable to wear. The rubber also avoids desk scratches and springs back to shape at the slightest disturbance.
The Aquatimer is a bold yet sporty watch that delivers vastly more value than its competitors for the price. In addition to a spectacularly accurate Swiss movement, IWC impresses with its Swiss engineering: super hard crystal face and a watch that doesn’t need a pressure release valve. It excels in any environment but it’s one of the few diver watches that could persuade a non-diver to jump off a perfectly good boat.
