The Omega Speedmaster is an icon in the world of watches. Though they have a number of anniversary editions, this one is particularly interesting. the HB-SIA pays tribute to the Solar Impulse Project in flying around the world with only energy from the sun. Powered by a Co-Axial Calibre 3603 movement, this timepiece has capabilities of a 52 hour reserve. In addition to the beautiful carbon dial, this watch also contains a small seconds sub dial, 30 minute and 12 hour recorders, in addition to a central chronograph and GMT hands.
The overall condition of the timepiece is very good. The crystal has no noted defects and is essentially flawless. There are very small flea bites noted at the outer edge of the bezel, notably near the 1, 8, 9:30 and 10:30 positions. Please refer to photos as I essentially need to squint in order to identify these very minimal defects. Additionally, there are some scratch marks noted at the underside between the lugs, consistent with strap changes, as well as the clasp. The strap shows minimal wear and is noted to be quite comfortable. Enjoy a recent factory service (paperwork included) as of January 2019. Timegraphing metrics prove excellent health in the movement so that this is able to be enjoyed for many years without issues in maintenance.
Original boxes and paperwork (including recent service paperwork) will be included in addition to the factory booklet. I will also be including an aftermarket black and gray NATO strap in order to offer a different, more casual look. Please make sure to review all photos as they are indicative of this set’s condition. Additional photos and video may be provided upon request.
