Introduced at Baselworld 2018 as the first Grand Complication ever produced in the Nautilus collection, the 5740/1G-001 is a 40mm 18-carat white gold timepiece measuring just 8.42mm in thickness — making it simultaneously the most complicated Nautilus and the thinnest perpetual calendar ever produced by the manufacture. The sunburst blue dial presents the perpetual calendar layout with extraordinary elegance: day, date, and month apertures, a pointer-style leap year indicator, a 24-hour day/night indicator, and a precision moonphase accurate to within one day over 122 years — all beneath a sapphire crystal with sapphire exhibition caseback revealing the 240 Q caliber in full. Applied white gold baton-style hour markers with Luminova fill and matching rounded baton hands complete the dial. Presented on a fully integrated 18-carat white gold bracelet with a patented fold-over clasp with lockable adjustment. The in-house 240 Q is a self-winding movement with a 22-carat gold off-center minirotor, Gyromax balance, Spiromax balance spring bearing the Patek Philippe Seal, comprising 275 parts and 27 jewels, beating at 21,600 vph (3 Hz), delivering 38 to 48 hours of power reserve, water-resistant to 30 meters.
