Blancpain Villeret Semainier Grande Date 8 Jours, Enamel dial, 42mm rose gold

Up for sale here is an incredible timepiece from the world’s oldest watchmaker. The Blancpain Villeret is one of the nicest and most simply elegant watches there is, and in this variation, the extra complications add so much depth to what is nothing short of a horological masterpiece. Ref. 6637-3631

This timepiece a large double window date indicator at 6 o’clock, and a concave day subdial. The fine printing looks absolutely beautiful set into the white enamel dial.

This one is the “8 Jours” Grand Date, and yes it really has a full 192 hours of power reserve!

Another interesting feature is the 53 week counter around the outside of the dial. The numbering of 53 weeks is a reminder that some years (such as 2026) are allocated 53 weeks, to account for the alignment of the solar year at 365 or 366 days, while 7 days multiplied by 52 weeks is only 364 days!

Comes as a full set with the warranty card dated in 2023, only missing the box insert Included is a travel case as seen.
