Among the most technically audacious chronographs in the Tradition collection, the 7077 is a 44mm 18-carat white gold timepiece measuring 13.95mm in thickness — built around the principle of the independent chronograph, where two entirely separate gear trains govern timekeeping and chronograph functions independently. This eliminates the mechanical disturbance that engaging a standard chronograph introduces to the timekeeping train, achieving a level of precision impossible in a conventional integrated chronograph. The anthracite hand-wound movement is displayed on the front of the watch, with the off-centred silvered gold time dial hand-engraved on a rose engine at 12 o’clock, a retrograde 20-minute counter at 10 o’clock, a power reserve indicator at 2 o’clock, and a chronograph running indicator at 6 o’clock — the 20-minute counter and power reserve mirrored again on the exhibition caseback.
