One of the most architecturally distinctive moonphase watches in German watchmaking, the PanoMaticLunar 40 is a 40mm stainless steel timepiece measuring 12.7mm in thickness — its asymmetric dial layout inspired by the Golden Ratio, the so-called “divine proportion.” The galvanic blue dial presents a decentralized hour and minute sub-dial at 9 o’clock and a small seconds sub-dial, both decorated with a fine vinyl-type finish that produces subtle reflections at every angle. The signature Panorama Date window sits at 4 o’clock, while a crescent-shaped aperture at 12 o’clock frames a moonphase display hand-crafted in-house — the moon disc cut, shaped, and polished with a diamond-tipped tool. A sapphire exhibition caseback reveals the movement beneath. Presented on a blue Louisiana gator leather strap with deployant clasp. The in-house 90-02 is a self-winding movement delivering approximately 42 hours of power reserve, water-resistant to 50 meters.
