Introduced in 2023 and one of the first Rolex sports watches ever produced in titanium, the Yacht-Master 42 reference 226627 is a 42mm instrument in RLX Titanium — a proprietary Grade 5 titanium alloy produced in-house — measuring 13.1mm in thickness and weighing just 106 grams complete with bracelet, a fraction of the heft of an equivalent steel watch. The entire watch — case, bracelet, and bezel body — is fully satin-brushed in a consistent tool-watch aesthetic, with no polished center links and no polished bezel flanks. The bidirectional rotating bezel features a matte black Cerachrom ceramic insert with polished raised numerals, giving sailors accurate manoeuvre timing while contrasting elegantly against the matte grey-black dial. Large applied luminescent hour markers and a hex-threaded Triplock crown ensure legibility and water resistance to 100 meters. A Cyclops date magnifier sits at 3 o’clock. Presented on a fully satin-brushed RLX Titanium Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock folding clasp and Glidelock extension. The in-house 3235 is a self-winding movement featuring the Chronergy escapement, blue Parachrom hairspring, and Paraflex shock absorbers, containing 31 jewels, certified as a Superlative Chronometer to −2/+2 seconds per day, and delivering approximately 70 hours of power reserve.
