One of the most technically demanding complications in all of watchmaking, the Classique Répétition Minutes 7637 is a 42mm 18-carat rose gold dress timepiece measuring 12.35mm in thickness — carrying a lineage that dates directly to Abraham-Louis Breguet’s 1783 innovation of striking on a spring blade rather than a bell gong, transforming the acoustic character of the minute repeater entirely. The silvered gold dial is hand-engraved on a rose engine in the traditional guilloché manner, accompanied by a 24-hour day/night indicator at 3 o’clock and small seconds at 9 o’clock, with open-tipped Breguet hands and Roman numeral hour markers — all beneath a sapphire crystal. A discreet slide lever between 8 and 10 o’clock activates the chiming mechanism, striking hours, quarter hours, and minutes on demand via a spring blade gong. The sapphire exhibition caseback is engraved with a wave pattern. Presented on a gator leather strap with 18-carat rose gold deployant clasp.
