The second colorway in the M.A.D.Editions series, the M.A.D.1 Red was released in 2022 — initially allocated to MB&F insiders before being opened to a public lottery that attracted over 25,000 entries, with only a fraction of participants securing a piece. The 42mm stainless steel case features a large sapphire crystal over the inverted movement, with the triple-blade titanium and tungsten “Battle Axe” winding rotor fully visible and loaded with SuperLumiNova. Time is read via two rotating anodized aluminum discs at 6 o’clock — black for hours, cherry red for minutes — through the sapphire crystal sidewall, with the crown positioned at 12 o’clock. Presented on a black leather and rubber rally strap with contrasting red stitching and deployant clasp. The modified Miyota 821A is a self-winding movement delivering approximately 42 hours of power reserve, water-resistant to 30 meters.
